Biography

Through out my degree, painting has always been a form of inspiration. The way we strike at a canvas will always be a unique representation of our artistic signature. I do this by exploring two main topics in my work. I firstly take still life and translate it onto a canvas in the way I interpret the objects before me for the audience to admire. Objects I use are always second hand or short term fruit. I like the bouncing connection that older, longer lived jars have in relation to the younger produce. Secondly, the colours and brush marks that are used portray the emotion I have towards the composition in front of me. My paint work is kept very quick, loose and free over the picture to represent the passing of time that bounds these substances together.
